Who We Are

The Natural Resource Conservation Network (NRCN) is a new-generation NGO incorporated in 2013 after the CITES Bangkok meeting that placed Uganda at the centre of global concern over elephant poaching.

We have renewed our 10-year MOU with the Uganda Wildlife Authority and we are yet to sign another with the National Forest Authority for the conservation, protection and sustainable management of Budong Central Forest Reserve.

Our mission is simple but urgent

To combat wildlife and forestry crime in order to protect ecological systems for the benefit of current and future generations.

Protecting key forests such as Bugoma and Budongo.

Community engagement

Sensitising communities on the importance of wildlife and forest conservation.

Collaboration

NRCN collaborates with other organizations and stakeholders to protect forests and enhance wildlife populations.

Having signed a 10-year memorandum of understanding with the Uganda Wildlife Authority, we are committed to conserving wildlife and addressing the challenges of illegal trade in wildlife products.
